What I regard as painful and uncomfortable, you may consider to be painless.
The ‘BioRePeel’ makes your skins feel tighter and produces a tingling sensation. The microneedling may be uncomfortable around certain areas of the face, such as your forehead, nose and upper lip. Before your treatment, a numbing cream is applied to reduce any discomfort. The dermaplaning is generally not considered painful or uncomfortable.

If you’re considering a ‘BioRePeel’, I specifically chose this chemical peel from the many available out there because of its formulation (containing Glycine, Argenine, Proline, and others, with Vitamins B2, C and others), which significantly reduce the risk of a skin purge and post-inflammatory pigmentation. The interactions of its ingredients restores the optimal conditions of your skin.
A flare-up of acne following any treatment, given by any provider, is not unusual. This process is called ‘purging’ which happens as new skin cells turnover, following a treatment, bringing any impurities in your skin to the surface. These impurities are already in your skin and will eventually find their way to the surface. Sometimes purging doesn’t happen, sometimes it happens but only lasts a very brief period of a day to a few days. This is all a normal part of getting your glow!
Your skin may peel following a treatment, because new skin cells are being turned over. This is easily fixed by making sure your skin is kept well hydrated with the recommended moisturiser.
Post-inflammatory pigmentation is more of a problem in darker skin-types. More pigmentation is produced following a treatment because of the localised inflammation caused by the treatment. But as outlined above, the ‘BioRePeel’ is specifically designed to reduce this risk.

Before you start any treatment with MYE Aesthetics, a thorough skin consultation will be completed to ensure that what you want is both safe and effective. If, following that consultation, I do not feel a treatment is right for you and your skin, then I would make other recommendations.
‘Downtime’ is a term used to describe a period of time, during which, your skin may be red, irritated, swelling or peeling. Downtime is a natural part of the healing process, following most treatments. Some treatments have a longer downtime because they contain a higher concentration of certain active ingredients.
As part of selecting the treatments I use, I have made sure that any downtime is minimal to none. This ensures that your skincare regime does not interfere too much with your day-to-day life. This is complimented by making sure you follow any aftercare advice that is given, following the treatment.

Following a treatment, I spend time with you to complete a holistic and detailed review of your skincare needs, objectives, including different aspects of your day-to-day lifestyle. I will also cover what you you should and shouldn’t be doing after your treatment. This all informs a personalised, tailored regime, unique to you. You will also receive recommended products to be used on a daily basis, which accommodates your budget and what you feel able to commit to. Consistency is key to great skin.

MYE Aesthetics offers a rewards scheme for clients who regularly attend for treatments. Following a treatment, a new client will be given a reward card which is stamped. At every fifth treatment, you will receive 20% off. After your tenth treatment, you will receive 40% off.
The cost of starting a new skincare journey can cause some hesitation because of the initial upfront cost of treatments.
I want to make sure that the treatments offered by MYE Aesthetics are as accessible as possible. If you pay for a treatment via the website booking page, there is an option to use ‘Clearpay’ which splits your payments into 4 affordable payments, interest free.
